Just fifty minutes from the hotel Les Alizés, Cap Fréhel is an emblematic site of our region.  
With its seventy-meter high cliffs, this little gem of nature which looks a little like irland will delight lovers of hiking, nature and history. 

Cap Fréhel is an ideal place for nature and wildlife lovers. Classified as "Zone Natura 2000", it is an ornithological reserve that is home to a large number of species. You can try to see some penguins 'alca torda) among other birds like gulls and cormorants huppé...

Hikers will also not be left out thanks to the many paths and trails that run through Cap Fréhel and its surroundings.
The path GR34 which runs along the coast will offer you breathtaking panoramas... You can also admire the wild moor, the emerald sea, the impressive cliffs of schist and pink sandstone... 

History lovers, on the other hand, will be delighted by their visit of Fort La Latte, a famous medieval castle.
At 10 minutes away from Cap Fréhel by car,  or one hour by foot by the GR34, Fort La Latte, also called Château de la Roche Goyon is a majestic defense fort classified to the Historical Monuments since 1925.
It is one of the most famous and visited castles in Brittany.
Open to the public every day from April to October, this fortress will surely enchant you. 
Some activities are also organized throughout the year.

Our tips: 
-Plan good shoes if you are planning to hike.
-To get to Cap Fréhel by bike, consider using the route "La Vélomaritime - EuroVelo 4"
-To avoid the crowds in Cap Fréhel during busy periods, opt for a visit in the morning or at the end of the day 
-Cap d'Erquy, a little further west, is also worth a visit! Feel free to stop there if you have some time left before returning to the hotel.
