The "Domaine de Montmarin"

馃尶 Presentation of the Montmarin Estate
The Domaine du Montmarin, located in Pleurtuit in Ille-et-Vilaine, is a must-visit destination for garden and history enthusiasts. Listed as a Historic Monument and awarded the “Remarkable Garden” label, this site offers visitors a unique experience.
Built in 1760 by Aaron Magon du Bosc, the Montmarin château is an exceptional malouinière — the only one located on the left bank of the Rance River. Its distinctive architecture and terraced gardens sloping down to the estuary make it a place of great beauty. The gardens combine French formal and romantic styles, enhanced by exotic plants such as century-old magnolias, palm trees, and agapanthus.
